Lost Souls

spectacularly, decadently violent, nihilistic, and beautifully written. especially brutal to its women characters, but also a story where two straight teenage boys who are best friends hold each otherly tenderly. oh, and there is an incredible amount of gay sex. does for being a teenage boy what francesca lia block does for being a teenage girl.
