Reception to the book was generally positive, and the book won the 2008 Colorado Blue Spruce Book Award, and the American Library Association named it the "Best Book for Young Adults". Rereading the books for first the first time since I was a teenager. So far, I like this one the best. Between all of the infuriating and tragic parts, it can be really funny at times.
